Charlotte is an Attachment Practitioner at The Family Place. She is a foundational Theraplay practitioner and is completing an MSc in Play Therapy. She has also completed DDP Level 2. Charlotte is able to offer both attachment-focused therapeutic play and non-directive therapeutic play. Charlotte is experienced in using Theraplay to support children with developmental trauma make progress in trusting relationships. She has worked with children and young people across a variety of settings including children’s services, the charity sector and education (pupil referral units). She is particularly experienced in supporting children impacted by developmental trauma and attachment difficulties; children experiencing transitions from residential care to therapeutic foster care, from short-term to long-term foster care, from foster care to birth family, and transitions to adoption. Charlotte is passionate about open-water swimming and has managed to convince her boss to join her. She is a great believer in the healing capabilities of nature and that helping children and young people to connect with the outdoors and the natural environment can make a real difference to their sense of self and emotional and physical health and well-being.
